Terms and Conditions
Last updated: October 18, 2026
These terms cover wargamingevents.com, a directory of wargame tournaments, store game nights, and conventions. José Anés operates the site. Using the site means you agree to these terms and to the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the site. You must be at least 13, or 16 if you are in a European Union country that requires 16. The Privacy Policy explains that limit.
The service is free and ad-supported
The directory is free. There is no checkout, and the site does not collect entry fees. A fee printed on a listing is whatever the submitter entered.
Advertising supports the site. Visible slots are currently house placeholders that link to the advertise page.
Production pages also load the Google AdSense script for publisher ca-pub-0922011798840275.
When Google ad units are turned on, those ads may be personalized, as described in the privacy policy.
Account, moderation, and store-management pages stay clear of ad slots.
Listings can be wrong
Events, series, and stores are submitted by players or stores, or added from public sources by the operator. A moderator publishes many of them before they appear in search. An approved store that is allowed to auto-publish can put its own events live without that wait. A listing can be incomplete, outdated, approximate, duplicated, or wrong. The clock times can be a guess. The store might be closed. The event might be cancelled or moved.
Check the date, the place, the fee, and the rules with the organizer before you travel or pay. Wargaming Events is not the organizer, the host, or a party to your ticket. José Anés and the site are not liable for an event, a venue, a cancellation, a fee, an injury, or a loss that comes from relying on a listing.
Your content
You keep ownership of the text, listings, reviews, and other material you submit. You grant José Anés a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, display, copy, and adapt that material to run the directory, including edits a moderator makes while reviewing it. The license lasts while the material is on the site, and for a reasonable time afterward for backups and moderation records. You confirm that you have the right to submit it and that it does not invade someone else’s privacy or intellectual property.
We may reject, edit, unpublish, merge, or remove a submission, and we may do that without notice. Pending listings stay hidden until they are published. We do not promise a review by a particular time.
Do not submit any of the following:
- A listing you know is fake, or a claim that you represent a store when you do not.
- Someone else’s personal information, except a public store contact the store itself has published.
- Illegal content, threats, harassment, or impersonation.
- Spam, advertising disguised as an event, or a link to malware.
- Content that infringes a copyright, trademark, or other right.
Text alerts
The optional text program is called Wargaming Events alerts. It is for moderation updates and a verification code, and only after you opt in on the account page. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Sends are capped at 5 texts an hour and 20 a day. Reply HELP for help, STOP to opt out. Texting HELP or INFO gets an automatic reply with the program name and links to help, these terms, and the privacy policy. You can also stop texts on the account page. For anything else, email jose.anes@gmail.com. Phone numbers are not shared with other companies for their marketing. Twilio sends the texts and the site’s email. The Privacy Policy describes the consent record.
Store claims
“Claim this store” is a request to manage that listing. It is not proof that you own the business. You name your role and can offer a business email, a phone callback, a social account, or no proof yet. A moderator or an admin approves the first manager. Someone who already manages the store, or a moderator, can approve a later manager. Approval lets you edit that store and its events under the site rules. A false or unsupported claim can be rejected, and the account can be closed.
Automated access
The site does not offer a public API. Do not scrape, crawl, or bulk-collect the site beyond what robots.txt allows. Do not bypass access controls, rate limits, or technical restrictions. If we approve a key for automated access, that key is the only automated access we allow, and you must follow the limits that come with it.
The project’s own crawler is described on the crawler policy page. It is a library and it is not scheduled. If it runs, it identifies itself and obeys the target site’s robots.txt.
Trademarks
Game names on the site, including Warhammer 40,000, Age of Sigmar, Kill Team, and the others, belong to their owners. Games Workshop and the other publishers are not sponsors of this site. Wargaming Events is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to them. “Wargaming Events” is the name of this directory.
Disclaimers and liability
The site is provided as is and as available. We do not warrant that listings are accurate, that the site will be uninterrupted, or that it will meet a particular purpose. To the extent the law allows, José Anés is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, or goodwill, arising out of the site or an event you found here. The service is free. The total liability for a claim about the site is zero dollars, except where a court will not allow that limit, in which case the limit is the smallest amount the law allows. Some places do not allow these limits. There, they apply only as far as the law allows. Nothing here limits liability that cannot legally be limited.
Ending access
You can stop using the site at any time. We can suspend or close an account, or stop operating the directory, if you break these terms or if we shut the project down. The license for material that remains online, the listing disclaimer, the liability limit, and the governing-law section still apply after access ends. Asking us to delete personal information is described in the Privacy Policy.
Governing law
The operator is José Anés. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Courts in Florida are the venue for a dispute about these terms, except where a law that applies to you does not allow that choice. Privacy rights described for California, the European Union, the United Kingdom, Canada, and Quebec are not waived where the law does not allow a waiver.
Changes
We may change these terms. The date at the top of this page is the notice. Using the site after that date means you accept the updated terms. If you do not accept them, stop using the site. The site does not email a separate announcement of terms edits.
